COMPANY HISTORY

         Gourmet Italian Ices, Inc. is a family owned business based in central New Jersey. They are manufacturers of traditional Italian Ices and “Cream Ices”, which sets them apart from other Italian Ice manufacturers.

         The Scara brothers, Joe, Jim and Doug, began making Gourmet Italian Ices during the early 1990’s for friends and family. The response to their product was overwhelming and in 1995 they opened a retail store in Keyport, New Jersey. With the opening of the retail store the brand name, “ Scara’s New York Gourmet Italian Ices”, was born. As a result of their growing popularity, they began wholesaling their product throughout the tri-state area. Today Scara’s New York Gourmet Italian Ices can be found in amusement parks, stadiums, water parks, zoos and other venues across the country.
